WATCH: Red hot Talor Gooch holes 30-yard bunker shot at LIV Golf London as form continues

Red-hot Talor Gooch started Friday’s round at the par-4 sixth, the most difficult hole at Centurion Club. His approach shot found the greenside bunker, 30 yards from the pin. No worries. He holed it for birdie.
The RangeGoats GC star has been riding high this season with three wins that have him atop the Individual Champion points list after eight tournaments. He continued his hot play with an opening 67 in which he birdied four of his first five holes while playing with teammates Thomas Pieters and Harold Varner III.
“When those things are happening,” Gooch said, “you just want to ride the wave.”
Teammate Pieters said: “He keeps winning. We’re nothing but happy for him. He’s killing it … He could win three or four more. It’s really cool and obviously it’s good for the team.”
Gooch is the only member of his current team who played in the inaugural event at Centurion Club last year. At the time, he was Torque GC’s captain and was one of just nine players to finish under par for the week.
Gooch said: “When we showed up here last year, we didn’t know exactly what to expect.
“There were definitely some questions … It’s nice that a year later, we’re here strictly for business playing golf and not dealing with a bunch of other stuff that comes with it.”
