Bettinardi Staffer Matt Fitzpatrick achieved victory in a nail-biting 3-round playoff win last weekend at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina. Fitzpatrick relied on his trusty DASS (Double-Aged Stainless Steel) BB1 Flow putter, demonstrating a putting masterclass, making 61/61 putts inside 7 feet across the four rounds.

Fitzpatrick, who won his first PGA Tour and first Major at the U.S. Open in June of 2022, shot a career-low round of 63 at the Hilton Head course. Fitzpatrick put forth a powerful putting performance all week, securing 19 birdies over four rounds, including 1 eagle in round 3.

Fitzpatrick continues to use the same BB1 Flow that helped him achieve greatness in Brookline last June. Matt’s putter is milled from Double-Aged Stainless Steel, has a two-tone black oxide and tour blast finish, and features the pre-cursor face milling to our new Roll Control face.

The Roll Control face has grooves machined at a precise angle to get the ball into a true roll faster, validated by the Major Champion. Matt’s putter was accompanied by a red tartan Tour Dept. blade headcover, perfectly matching the victor’s new tartan jacket.

This is the first victory of the 2023 season for Fitzpatrick. The putting pro is now ranked #1 in both putting from 3’ and inside 10’, #2 in putting from 5’, and #4 in putting from 4-8’.

Sam Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf said: "Watching Matt close it out on his third playoff hole in dramatic fashion against one of the game’s best players was so impressive to watch as he finished like the true champion that he is. This marks our company’s fifth victory at the RBC Heritage in our 25-year history and we could not be prouder of Matt and his bold victory.”

With this victory, the 28-year-old Englishman is ranked 22nd on the FedEx Cup Season Standings and moves up from 16th to 8th in the Official World Golf Rankings, the best ranking in his career so far.
