TaylorMade Qi10 Series: A new era of forgiveness in golf drivers

TaylorMade Golf has announced the launch of its latest series of drivers, the Qi10 Max, Qi10 LS, and Qi10, which the company claims are the most forgiving set of drivers it has ever produced.

The highlight of this series is the Qi10 Max, achieving what is described as a groundbreaking total Moment of Inertia (MOI) of 10,000 g-cm².

The concept of MOI is central to the design of these drivers. A higher MOI equates to more forgiveness, particularly beneficial for golfers when the clubhead strikes the ball off-center. A higher MOI minimises head rotation during off-centre impacts, which helps maintain ball speed and provides more consistent launch conditions. The Qi10 Max’s achievement of a 10,000 g-cm² MOI is a result of sophisticated design elements involving advanced lightweight materials, a unique head shape, and strategic mass distribution.

TaylorMade suggests that the forgiveness offered by the Qi10 Max driver is advantageous for golfers at all skill levels, including everyday enthusiasts and professional players like Nelly Korda and Collin Morikawa of Team TaylorMade.
