Golfers in England now have the opportunity to participate in the country's biggest mixed Fourball Betterball competition of the year, the PING Fourball Betterball Mixed Tournament.

Registration is now open for the 2023 event, which will run until August 9.

The tournament is one of the national grassroots contests supported by PING, alongside events such as the PING Women's Fourball Betterball Tournament. Players from all golf clubs across England are eligible to participate.

The successful teams will proceed to compete in the national final, scheduled for 5 September 2023, at Thonock Park. Administered by England Golf, qualifying events will be played as a Stableford Fourball Betterball, and participants must have a handicap index of 54 or less.

Each participating club must arrange for its own qualifying event, and each qualifier will be represented by two pairs. The top 52 pairs among participating clubs will proceed to the final, with each team competing for the championship title and a range of PING prizes.

Every team that finishes first or second in the qualifying event also receives a special PING prize. The process has been streamlined with the introduction of the World Handicap System (WHS), making it easier for clubs to manage the event seamlessly.

The PING Fourball Betterball Mixed Tournament promises to be an exciting event, attracting golfers from across the country. With the registration now open, all golf enthusiasts in England are encouraged to sign up and take part in this significant golfing event.

Lisa Lovatt, Managing Director at PING Europe, said: “This event is one we are proud to sponsor, with it being a wonderful experience accessible to golfers of all ages, genders, and abilities. Whether you’re joining with a friend or family member, it’s a fantastic chance to come together with a wider community of golfers.

“As a brand, we continue to look for ways to grow the game, with inclusivity at the heart of what we do. We’re dedicated to supporting club golf and encourage all golfers to get involved in an event that epitomises what the sport is all about.”
