LIV Golf today announced that world ranked No. 26 Paul Casey has officially signed and will compete at the LIV Golf Invitational Bedminster as part of team Crushers GC, captained by Bryson DeChambeau.

LIV Golf’s third event of the season takes place 29-31 July at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

A consistent competitor for more than two decades, Casey has won 21 tournaments since turning pro in 2000. In that time, he’s amassed 150 top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the 2020 PGA Championship and a tie for third at the 139th Open Championship. The English golfer has represented Europe in five Ryder Cups and has annually performed amongst the globe’s best, having been ranked as high as No. 3 in the world.

Leading up to his professional debut, Casey’s amateur career at Arizona State featured three consecutive Pac-12 Championships. He also won the 1999 and 2000 English Amateur and helped lead Great Britain and Ireland to a Walker Cup win where he became only the third player in 77 years to go 4-0 in the international competition.

Greg Norman, LIV Golf CEO and Commissioner, said: “LIV Golf continues to attract the best players in the sport as it builds increasingly competitive fields with each event.

“Paul Casey adds to the growing list of top 50 golfers who are excited to be part of an innovative and entertaining format that is creating something new for golf. His proven track record on a global stage adds another exciting piece to the competition as we prepare for Bedminster.”

The LIV Golf Invitational Series launched June 9 to a worldwide audience showcasing its new, innovative format with 12 teams, 48-players, shotgun starts and no cut.

Complete, live coverage of LIV Golf tournaments is globally available direct to consumers on LIVGolf.com, YouTube and Facebook. LIV Golf event broadcasts are also aired live on a global roster of leading premium and free-to-air broadcasters providing coverage in over 150 territories around the world. The list of global networks covering the LIV Golf Invitational Series is available on LIVGolf.com.

The announcement comes as American Dustin Johnson lead the way with debutant Carlos Ortiz going into the final round of the second LIV Golf Invitational tournament held in Portland.

Johnson carded his second 68 of the tournament to leave him 8-under-par after 36 holes. Mexican Ortiz carded a solid 69 to leave him in the mix and tied at the top of the leaderboard.
