Major winner Patrick Reed latest big name to join LIV Golf

Patrick Reed, Masters champion and nine-time winner as a professional, is the latest big name golfer to join LIV Golf.
Reed is the ninth major champion to commit to the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which saw some of the game’s biggest names competing this week in LIV Golf’s historic first-ever tournament in London.
Greg Norman, LIV Golf CEO and Commissioner, said: “The growing roster of LIV Golf players gets even stronger today with a player of Patrick Reed’s caliber. He has a proven track record as one of the most consistent competitors in pro golf and adds yet another big presence at our tournaments.
“He’s a Major champion who has had a significant impact playing international team competitions, and he’ll bring another impressive dynamic to our team-based format at LIV Golf.”
Reed has competed in more than 300 events since turning pro in 2010. The 31-year-old has finished in the top ten 72 times, including 25 top-three finishes. Reed has represented the United States in three Ryder Cups and three Presidents Cups in which he’s helped lead his country to four victories in addition to being a two-time Olympian.
The LIV Golf Invitational Series officially launched 9 June to fans around the world showcasing its new, innovative format with 12 teams, 48-players, shotgun starts and no cut.
