Matt Fitzpatrick: What's In The Bag (WITB) 2023
Updated: Apr 17

Matt Fitzpatrick has returned to winning ways after capturing the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina. It was a dramatic finish on Hilton Head Island with the Englishman tied for the lead after 72 holes with defending champion Jordan Spieth. The pair both ended on a score of -17 and so headed for extra holes.
Fitzpatrick held his nerve to emerge victorious on the third playoff hole and clinch his first victory since his dramatic win at last year's U.S. Open.
Before this week, the 28-year-old's season had yet to catch fire with just two top 10's to his name. However, a T10 at last week's Masters was a sign Fitzpatrick was trending in the right direction.
This latest win adds to Fitzpatrick's already impressive CV. The Englishman's tally now stands at two PGA Tour victories, including the 2022 U.S. Open, and seven wins on the DP World Tour.
