Lucas Herbert: What's In The Bag (WITB) 2023

Lucas Herbert came from one behind on the final day to win on the second playoff hole against Canada's Aaron Cockerill at the ISPS Handa Championship. The event was played at the PGM Ishioka Golf Club, Omitama, Japan this last weekend (19-23 April, 2023)
After arriving late on Wednesday evening, due to travel delays, and not being able to play a practice round, Herbert trusted his caddy who had worked hard to learn every inch of the course in his absence. This hard work paid off as the Australian carded four under par rounds - 67,68,63,67.
During the final round, Herbert mixed two bogeys with three birdies and an eagle for a score of 67 (-3). That was enough to put him in a two-way tie for the lead at -15 and heading into a play-off.
Herbert put himself in the driving seat on the second play-off hole hitting his ball 12 feet below the hole to setup a birdie putt, which he duly sank. The win was Herbert's third on the DP World Tour since turning pro back in 2015. He also has one PGA Tour victory to his name.
