2023 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Picks & Predictions

Updated: Apr 12

With the excitement of Augusta now in the rearview mirror, the PGA Tour season heads to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, for the playing of the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links (13-16 April, 2023).

Like the Masters, the winner of the RBC Heritage walks away with a new item of clothing if they are triumphant. This time it's not a green jacket but rather a red-and-black plaid one.

Capturing said jacket is no easy task with Harbour Town Golf Links known for its tight fairways and copious amounts of trees. This is one course you just can't overpower, it's all about hitting it straight and keeping it in play.

RBC Heritage Picks & Predictions 2023

With a very strong field this week, let's take a look at the players and pick out those who we think have the best chances of winning this year:

Jordan Spieth - The defending champion is in great form with four top 6 finishes in his last seven starts, including a T4 at last week's Masters.

Jon Rahm - He captured the green jacket last weekend with a four-stroke victory. He's the world number one, can he go back-to-back with wins?

Scottie Scheffler - Although he was unable to retain his Masters title, Scheffler did finish with a top 10, his 9th of the season. With two wins already in 2023, he's a hot pick.

Patrick Cantlay - He's currently 2nd on the Tour this season in both SG: Off the tee and Total Driving, key requirements for winning around this tight course. Add in four top 10s this year and the fact he loves Harbour Town and he's a good look for this week.

Cameron Young - A strong performance at the Masters with a T7. Five top 10s this year, the Rookie of the Year 2022 is in fine form. He also finished T3 at Harbour Town last year.

Viktor Hovland - Led for a chunk of the Masters last week, ended with a T7. Three top 10s in his last four starts, he's trending in the right direction.

BONUS 1-2-Watch: Shane Lowry - In his last four starts at Harbour Town, he's had a pair of T3s and a T9. He's also 4th in Total Driving this year and 7th in Driving Accuracy. He knows how to keep it in play on those narrow Harbour Town fairways.
