2023 LIV GOLF HOST: Valderrama Golf Course ‘excited’ by new partnership with LIV Golf

Officials at Valderrama Golf Course are ‘excited to initiate this new partnership with LIV Golf’ as the famous European course joins the roster of venues for 2023.
Spain’s Real Club Valderrama was announced alongside Mayakoba’s El Camaleón Golf Course and Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club as new hosts.
They join the previously announced The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide as hosts for four of the 14 tournaments that will bring many of the sport’s biggest stars in the groundbreaking LIV Golf League to fans around the globe.
LIV Golf’s star-studded, international field will feature major winners including Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Henrik Stenson, Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen and more. Final rosters for the LIV Golf League will be announced in 2023, when 12 established team franchises will compete in a global 14-event schedule for an unprecedented $405 million in prize purses.

Consistent with the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series, LIV Golf League will showcase its innovative new golf format featuring simultaneous team and individual play, with each season culminating in a Team Championship finale. The full 2023 league schedule, to be released in the coming weeks, will tee off from February to September and will not compete with the Majors, international team events or heritage events.
Javier Reviriego, Chief Executive, Real Club Valderrama, said: “Real Club Valderrama has a rich history of hosting extraordinary golf tournaments, and we are excited to initiate this new partnership with LIV Golf. The quality of players that will compete at Valderrama will no doubt attract many European fans that are eager to see some of the best golfers in the world.
“We will ensure that the golf course is presented in top condition and that it represents a true challenge, where precision and strategy will play a key role. There is no doubt that the five LIV Golf events that we will be hosting in the coming years will further position Andalucía as one of the top golf destinations in the world.”
Greg Norman, LIV Golf CEO and Commissioner, said: “LIV Golf is truly a global league dedicated to expanding the sport throughout the world, and these destinations for the league’s 2023 launch showcase our commitment to tournament play at the highest level.
“These venues have played host to signature moments in golf, and we’re excited to build new traditions for the sport while delivering a first-class fan experience at some of the world’s best courses.”
